I had the pleasure of meeting Matt Savage at the Shooting Stars at Bay 101 and got to let you all know that Matt Savage is the real deal! He is very personable, professional, and the expertise in managing the shooting tournament is quite extraordinary. I'm sorry to hear about Marko Trampani passing away, the creator of the Shooting Star.

Matt gets it. It's as simple as that. While other tournament directors and venues try to reinvent the wheel, Matt Savage, by studying tournament structures and talking to the players, has designed structures that are simply ideal for everyone involved. When you play in a Matt Savage tournament you know what you are going to get. Plenty of play for your money.

Matt Savage has been involved with many charity events that I have hosted and there is no one I trust more to handle the poker setup from beginning to end than Matt. As a professional poker player I know that when attending a major tournament that Matt is directing the structure, schedule, and event always have the player in mind.

Matt is a "Strong" tournament director that the poker players respect. He knows the rules back-and-forth and up-and-down, and he makes the right rulings without waffling. I have never heard of anyone complaining about a Matt Savage ruling!
